Social injustice presents itself whenever unfair practices are being carried out in our society. Most of the time injustices are immoral practices that are completely against the law. This occurs in certain circumstances where the equals are treated unequally and the unequal is treated equally. Social injustices take place whenever a dominant part of a population acknowledges the inequity that guides the rest of the community, obviously due to their respective position in the structure of beholding power over society.

Social injustice can be found in education, employment, voting, health care services, transportation, public accommodations, and government benefits. Examples of social injustice include discrimination, ageism, and homophobia.

Discrimination means treating someone unfairly simply because of who they are. This is a term that includes a lot of social inequalities on the basis of culture, politics, religion and many more.

Ageism is basically discriminating others on the basis of their age. This is a term that includes a prejudicial treatment towards the elderly and the restriction and hold back of their rights.

Homophobia is the injustice towards the sexual minority. This is a term that includes hatred towards the bisexuals or transgender.

As far as I am concern nowadays our society is making somewhat of progress regarding social justices by making and implementing many laws to prevent any type of discrimination. Nevertheless injustice prevails, and sadly attacks most of the people today. I truly believe that if we want a sustainable human development that thrives with achievements, this social injustices must be eradicated from our society. In order for us to flourish as an outgoing society we must eliminate global hunger and poverty, promote gender equality, fight for employment rights, and support diversity in the workplace and all around us.
